National & State Champions

Joe's Trees and #1 Wreaths has been honored many times with a Grand Champion winner in the tree and wreath category. We have won blue ribbons many times on the state level. Sue Huffman won the first design contest to be held by the Mid Atlantic Christmas Tree Growers Association in New York in 2005. Both Sue Bostic and Sue Huffman entered competition in 2008 held in Des Monies Iowa at the National Christmas Tree Growers Assocaition . Sue Bostic won second place with a Fraser fir . Sue Huffman won National Grand Champion in both the undecorated and the decorated catergories. She was named Double Grand Champion by the National Christmas Tree Growers . This is the first time any one has ever achieved this goal. Congratulations to the Virginia Sues.
2008grandchampion
Sue Bostic entered wreaths this year in the Virginia Christmas Tree Growers Association held in Waynesboro, VA. She came away with top honors in both the decorated and undecorated categories. The wreaths were made by Lora Leigh Early and decorated by Sue Bostic. Sue also took 1st place with her entry of a White pine and won 2nd place or 2nd designated winner in the Fraser fir category. She will have the honor of placing wreaths at the Governor's mansion in RIchmond in November this fall and will be able to compete in the National competition which will be held in August 2011 in Ohio.
